It has been a while, certainly much longer than I would have liked, but I am still here. The Wife and I have undertaken some rather extensive projects as of late, but we hope to gain our free time back in a few weeks. It’s been a stressful few weeks, but the work is worthwhile so its hard to complain.
Though I have been absent, I have not been stagnant. There have been a precious few hours I have managed to steal away from the glowing captor we call the computer screen. This past weekend I was able to partake in one of my favorite activities, macro photography. I enjoy viewing the world of the tiny as if it were intractable. I enjoy the unique perspectives gained from composing the view of an object to cause wonder and amazement. I enjoy witnessing the moment of recognition as an observer realizes that the view before them is in fact just a very small portion of a very familiar object.
I traveled through the back yard of my parents house this weekend and tried to focus on the structural properties of nature, and also the degrading effects of the environment acting on stationary exposed equipment. The results of which are wholly unique and highly interesting.
